Orders, stances & formations

Queue a chain of moves, set a patrol loop, tell a unit to hold or hunt, pivot on the spot, back up smoking, or call tactical abilities like Smoke Barrage and Scramble Strike.

At a glance

Queue
Use Queue move on touch, or Shift-right-click — your units walk the list
Patrol
Select Patrol (or P), then pick the far point for a permanent shuttle
Stance
Use Hold ground for an immediate stop; toggle Hold/Agile for pursuit behavior
Tactical powers
Face to pivot, Reverse for ~3s with smoke pop, Smoke Barrage (20 TK) army-wide, Scramble Strike (25 TK) jet refill

Orders and stances

Queue moves, patrol routes, hold or agile stances, and face or reverse commands shape how units behave between fights. Infantry in ruins ignores your stance and uses the building's cover instead.

Waypoints and patrol

Use Queue move in the command deck on touch, or hold Shift on desktop, then pick each destination — your unit walks them in order. Select Patrol (or press P), then choose the far point for a permanent A↔B shuttle; your unit re-picks the nearest threat each time it arrives.

Hold and Agile

Hold is the anchor. Your unit keeps its spot and only shoots what wanders into range. Agile is the hunter — it will chase within sight until the fight is done. Infantry tucked into a town or ruin ignores stance until it steps back out.

Facing, reverse and vehicle smoke

Face snaps your unit's facing and pivots in place until it's aligned. Reverse drives backward slowly for about three seconds while the turret stays free to track — when a Maus finishes, it pops smoke for 1.8 seconds (36 ticks) that hides it from direct fire at medium range (beyond 2.8 tiles).

ManeuverWhat it does
FacePivot in place — no creeping forward until you're pointed right
ReverseBack up slowly with turret free — then a Maus pops localized smoke
Vehicle SmokeBrief concealment (1.8s) that breaks direct targeting past 2.8 tiles

Tankaloon tactical powers

Controlling Tankaloon outposts unlocks powerful battlefield orders. Smoke Barrage costs 20 Tankaloons (TK) and wraps every friendly combat unit on the map in smoke for 1.8 seconds, breaking long-range locks during a retreat or push. Scramble Strike costs 25 Tankaloons (TK) and trims 15 seconds (300 ticks) off your HQ strike aircraft's refueling or repair cooldown.

AbilityCost & effect
Smoke Barrage20 TK — Island-wide smoke concealment for all friendly combat units for 1.8s (36 ticks)
Scramble Strike25 TK — Trims 15s (300 ticks) off strike jet refuel/repair cooldown

Line formation

Form Line lets you draw a line and your selection spreads along it, slot by slot. The same units always take the same slots, so your wedge doesn't shuffle every time. Other shapes exist behind the scenes, but Line, Face, Reverse, and tactical abilities are the ones you'll use in battle.

When to use each

Queue a Berliet through two depots to automate a milk run. Patrol a Sea Shadow along the coast to keep subs from sitting still. Put AT on Hold on a ridge so they don't chase a scout into a Maus ball. Face a line of rifles before a push so they don't waste a second turning. Pop Smoke Barrage when caught in crossfire or crossing open bridges.
