A reliable first three minutes
First deployment
Don't rush the enemy HQ. Take a depot, keep the trucks alive, and let your opening combat force secure ground before your Berliets roll out.
At a glance
- First job
- Move your opening force as a group to the nearest depot you can actually hold
- First buy
- Hub if the lane is safe, armor if it's a brawl, Workshop if you're digging in
- Watch for
- Berliets that wander out alone — they wait at HQ until you own ground
- Don't
- Chase a single scout through water with tanks, or stack every unit in one choke
First three minutes
Send your brigade's opening combat force — typically three to four Maus or signature brawlers — toward a flank or center depot while your Berliets follow. Secure one depot before you spend supply on anything ambitious.
First contact — 0:00 to 1:00
Send your starting force together toward a flank depot or the center. If you expect a fight, use attack-move so weapons fire on the advance; if the road is clear, a straight move is faster. Leave the Berliets at home until the depot flips — armor first, trucks second, every time.
- Double-click a tank or unit to grab every friendly of that kind. Shift adds to the selection. Up to three selected units get live tactical camera windows.
- If the enemy is already contesting, winning the local brawl and then flipping the depot matters more than chasing stragglers.
First investment — 1:00 to 3:00
A Logistics Hub is the greedy play — it makes your trucks carry more, heals them on delivery, and eventually lets you field a third Berliet. Composite Plating is the safe play in a head-on armor fight. A Field Workshop is the anchor play when the front isn't moving. Barracks starts a steady cycle of infantry platoons if you need bodies for depots.
| When you pick | What it gives you |
|---|---|
| Hub + Field Logistics | A safe depot and trucks finishing runs — you outgrow the enemy |
| Composite Plating + Gyro Ballistics | A straight brawl — you trade better |
| Workshop + Radar | A static front and subs offshore — you hold and reveal |
| Barracks / Boatyard / Drone Pad | You need screens, coastal cover, or an infantry answer |
The classic throw
Sending all your armor down one narrow lane with no one watching the trucks. Enemy flankers — Raiders or Sentries — are built to hunt lonely Berliets. Leave the road empty and they will strike. Keep at least one escort on the truck road until that first delivery lands. Roads are faster, but you take a little extra shell damage on them, so bring company.
What to do after 3:00
By three minutes you should own at least one land depot and have seen one truck pay. If you do, pick your branch: Hub for economy, Workshop/Radar for a brawl, Pen for water, or route a truck to a salvage yard for tech. If you don't, don't buy tech — buy presence. One more tank holding a depot is worth more than an upgrade you can't afford to use.
